My name is István Gerencsér but everybody calls me Gege. I was born on 25th August 1981, in Várpalota. I was familiarized with tattoos very early when I was 13 years old and one of my friends came back from military service with some adult magazines. Looking through these magazines I saw a tattoo for the first time in my life, which I thought was beautiful. Then I thought I wanted to be a tattoo artist. I made my first tattoo machine and I made some rather unsuccessful tattoos. After a few years I bought my first proper tattoo machine and I got engaged in drawing and tattooing. In 1999 I started to be interested in tattooing seriously and luckily I ended up at a tattoo studio in Balatonfüred. The following year I met Boris, who is the most inspiring figure of the tattoo community and an ideal to me. I decided if I have the chance I will definitely work for Boris. After Balatonfüred I was working in Croatia and Austria. I tried to open a shop and I contacted Boris again. Shortly after that I started to work for him. A dream has come true because I can work with this great tattoo artist.
